Silent disco festival stages that keep going after dark

A silent disco festival stage keeps the music playing once the main stages have to stop, with hundreds or thousands of headphones and three channels under one roof.

Festival organisers in Singapore face a familiar challenge: the most attractive sites, along the water at Marina Bay, by the sea at East Coast, in parks or on campus fields, are surrounded by hotels, homes and offices. Amplified sound has limits and the main stage often finishes early. A silent disco stage stretches the programme into the night and removes the sound bleed between stages that spoils so many multi-stage events.

Three DJs perform at once on three channels and the crowd decides. Each headphone's LED glows in the colour of its channel, so the tent becomes a show in its own right. The format also works for university orientation camps and freshman weeks, hall events, food and music festivals and outdoor events in the drier months. For big events we offer rental with assistance: delivery, set-up, technicians on site and management of the headphone flow. As the music stays in the headphones, a silent stage can sit nearer to homes, hotels or a campsite than any conventional stage, and keep going when everything else has fallen quiet. It is also a flexible zone: daytime workshops, silent yoga or a guided tour on one channel, DJ sets on the others.

Why it works

Why festivals add a silent disco stage

Music after the main stage

When the big stages finish, the silent disco carries on within the site's permitted hours.

No sound bleed

Stages can sit side by side without clashing, because the sound stays in the headphones.

Three DJs, one tent

A DJ battle built in: guests change channel and the colours show who is ahead.

For every crowd

Individual volume control keeps it comfortable for families, students and older festival-goers.

The picture of the weekend

A tent full of glowing headphones becomes the image everyone posts.

Scales with you

From a 200-person tent to thousands of headphones, with spares and quality control on every unit.

How it works

Planning your festival silent disco

1

Set stage and capacity

Expected attendance, opening hours and site layout tell us how many headphones and transmitters you need.

2

Design the headphone flow

Distribution points, deposits, returns and charging between nights, especially for multi-day festivals.

3

Run it night after night

Our technicians can support set-up and the evenings; your DJs bring the music.

Sizing headphones for a festival

Size the kit for the capacity of the silent disco area at its peak. A tent for 400 people needs roughly 400–500 headphones, because some are always in rotation at the return point.

  • Up to 500 headphones: S$2,450–2,900, indicative, single event.
  • Up to 1,000 headphones: S$4,150–5,750, indicative.
  • Larger numbers: quoted on request, drawing on our 5,000 headphones in Singapore.
  • Transmitters: TX-500 for large open areas, TX-330 where there is no mains power.
  • Multi-day: a full charge takes about 4 hours; the battery lasts up to 10.

Delivery within Singapore, assistance and technicians are quoted separately. See prices and rental formulas.

Tips for a festival silent disco

  • Use deposits: an ID or deposit at distribution keeps losses minimal.
  • Signage: show which colour plays what, clearly and from a distance.
  • Charging area: for multi-day events, set it up in a dry, covered place.
  • Weather: heavy showers can roll in within minutes; shelter the transmitters and the distribution tent.
  • Line-up: publish the DJs on each channel in the festival app or on boards.
  • Queues: separate lines for collection and returns.
  • The rush: plan staff for the moment the main stage closes and everyone heads for the silent tent.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about: festivals

How many headphones can you supply for a festival?

Up to 1,000 headphones is a standard request; larger numbers are quoted from our Singapore stock of 5,000 and the Silentsystem group fleet.

Do you provide technicians on site?

Yes, through rental with assistance: delivery, set-up and technicians on the night, quoted separately.

Can headphones be recharged during a multi-day festival?

Yes. Chargers are included; a full charge takes about 4 hours and the battery lasts up to 10.

Is there any lag between headphones?

No. The transmitters send the signal to every headphone in real time, so the whole crowd hears the same beat at the same moment.

Can you book the DJs as well?

No. We supply headphones and transmitters; the line-up is up to the organiser.
